Well, hello there! Welcome to the wonderful state of Arizona, where the summers are scorching, the winters are barely felt, and where you find the majesty that is the Grand Canyon. Supposedly named for the Basque phrase aritz onak (“good oaks”), Arizona is the forty-eighth state of the United States of America, and the last of the American states found on the North American continent. While it is true that Arizona is best known for its desert terrain, we would like to point out that the northern part of the state is actually a whole lot of mountain ranges and pine trees. Arizona, despite what some people may think, is a beautiful place to visit if not outright live in.
